Two suspected Allied Democratic Foces (ADF) rebels, including female suicide bomber,were killed in explosion near a prominent Catholic shrine in Kampala munyonyo,as crowds gathered mark Uganda martyr s day.
The blast explosion on Tuesday took place in the up scale suburb of Munyonyo, outside at Munyonyo shrine ,where Ugandan s were assembling to commemorate 19th century Christians executed for their faith .No civilians were harmed .
Accounterterrorism unit this morning intercepted two armed terrorists in Munyonyo " said army spokes person Chris Magezi on X ,He corfirmed one of the lebels was a suicide bomber" laden with powerful explosive.

While Ugandan authorities are still piecing together the events, Chris Magezi suggested the suspects were linked to the ADF ,a lebel group that originated in Uganda in 1990s but later locatec to eatern DRC.
